Abstract
A process for catalytic cracking of a hydrocarbon feed, includes the steps of providing an initial hydrocarbon fraction; providing a catalyst comprising an aluminosilicate composition having an aluminosilicate composition having an aluminosilicate framework and containing at least one metal other than aluminum incorporated into the aluminosilicate framework; and exposing the hydrocarbon to the catalyst under catalytic cracking conditions so as to provide an upgraded hydrocarbon product.
Claims13
A process for catalytic cracking of a hydrocarbon feed, comprising the steps of:
- providing an initial hydrocarbon fraction having a LPG fraction, a bottom fraction, an isoamylene fraction and an initial sulfur content;
- preparing a catalyst without templating agents and/or seeding procedures, said catalyst comprising a catalyst matrix, an aluminosilicate composition of MFI topology having an aluminosilicate framework and containing at least one metal other than aluminum, wherein the at least one metal has an affective amount incorporated into said aluminosilicate framework to provide an increase in LPG fraction (ALPG) and a decrease in initial sulfur content wherein said aluminosilicate composition is present in an amount between about 0.10 and about 60 wt% based upon said catalyst, said metal is present in an amount between about 0.01 and about 8.0 wt% based on weight of said aluminosilicate composition, and said catalyst matrix is selected from the group consisting of silica, silica-alumina, alumina, clay, pillared clay and combinations thereof said catalyst is provided in the form of fluidizable microspheres;
- and
- exposing said initial hydrocarbon fraction to said catalyst under fluid catalytic cracking conditions so as to provide an upgraded hydrocarbon product, wherein said upgraded hydrocarbon product has an LPG fraction which contains a higher ratio of olefins to paraffins, a higher ratio of butenes to butanes, a higher ratio of C3 to C4, an increase in LPG fraction (ALPG), a decrease in C5-221° C. fraction (ΔGasoline), and a sulfur content which is less than said initial sulfur content.
