Abstract
A solvent comprising a combination of water and organic solvent(s) capable of dissolving a therapeutically effective amount of medicament(s) not readily soluble in aqueous solvents, said organic solvents including alcohol and glycol, and said medicaments including hydrocortisone.
Claims13
A clear stable one phase solution that is non-irritating and resistant to freezing comprising:
- a) between about 30% and about 50% water;
- b) propylene glycol;
- c) 2-propanol or ethanol;
- and
- d) hydrocortisone in an amount of about 1.2% USP (w/v), wherein said hydrocortisone is solubilized in said water.
