Address electrodes (3) belonging to the i-th cluster are connected to an address electrode driving circuit (5i), address electrodes (3) belonging to the j-th cluster are connected to an address electrode driving circuit (5j), address electrodes (3) belonging to the k-th cluster are connected to an address electrode driving circuit (5k) and address electrodes (3) belonging to the l-th cluster are connected to an address electrode driving circuit (5l). Transfer data (Di to Dl) are outputted from a signal processing circuit (7) with their respective phases varied by, e.g., one clock of the system clock. Similarly, transfer clocks (TCi to TCl) are outputted from the signal processing circuit (7) with their respective phases varied by, e.g., one clock of the system clock. With this constitution, it becomes possible to provide a display device which can prevent transition of a plurality of digital signals at the same timing to suppress generation of electromagnetic waves and magnetic fields which would be caused thereby.
