Abstract

This gel is usable for radioactive decontamination of surfaces, especially metallic surfaces.
Claims39
Decontamination gel comprising:
- a) a thickening agent;
- b) an active decontamination agent;
- c) in which the thickening agent (a) is exclusively an organic thickening agent, which is a water-soluble organic polymer chosen from polymers of acrylic acid and copolymers of acrylic acid with acrylamide;
- said gel further comprising, an organic surfactant chosen from the polyoxyethylenic ethers with formula (II):
- CH3—(CH2)n−1—(O—CH2—CH2)m—OH (I)
- also called CnEm;
- where “n” is an integer from 6 to 18, and “m” is an integer from 1 to 23.
