A method for treating or preventing a condition amenable to treatment or avoidance by administering an effective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable pyridin-2-ylmethylsulfinyl-1H-benzimidazole (PSB) to a subject in need thereof, wherein the PSB is pantoprazole magnesium dihydrate.
A method of preparing a pharmaceutical composition by combining a pharmaceutically acceptable pyridin-2-ylmethylsulfinyl-1H-benzimidazole (PSB) with a suitable carrier therefor, wherein the PSB is pantoprazole magnesium dihydrate.
A method of preparing pantoprazole magnesium dihydrate which comprises reacting pantoprazole or a readily soluble pantoprazole salt with a magnesium salt in water or in a mixture of water and a polar organic solvent.
