Abstract
An orally administered preparation with controlled lease of an opioid analgesic in the form of crystals having particle size of 10 μm to 3 mm, preferably of 50 μm to 1 mm, which have at least one controlled release coating.

A preparation for oral administration with controlled release of an opioid analgesic comprising the opioid analgesic in the form of crystals having a crystal size of 10 μm to 3 mm, each of said crystals having at least one controlled release coating applied directly to the crystals, without an intervening formulation step.
