Release bearing with improved connection to a separating clutch

A release bearing for a separating clutch installed in a motor vehicle, comprising:

• a casing movable in an axial direction and operatively connected to an actuating mechanism;
• a non-rotational first bearing ring having a ring bottom supported by the casing;
• a revolving second bearing ring having a radially oriented annular flange;
• a plurality of rolling elements guided between the first and second bearing rings;
• a separate engagement disk made of low-friction and wear-resistant material placed in form fit relationship over an entire support surface of the radial annular flange and securely fixed with said annular flange;
• and
• a spring member operatively connected to the separating clutch and cooperating with the annular flange of the second bearing ring, wherein the spring member bears against the engagement disk.
