Method and apparatus for processing a data series including processing priority data

A data processing method comprising the steps of:

• receiving a data series including (1) time-series data including a plurality of frame data for audio or video, (2) an inter-time-series-data priority showing the priority of processing between respective time-series-data, and (3) a plurality of in-time-series-data priorities showing the processing priority between respective frame data included in the time-series-data, and (4) a frame type indicating respective frame data as I or P or B frame;
• and
• distributing throughput to the time-series-data in accordance with the inter-time-series-data priority;
• and
• processing the frame data in the time-series data while adaptively changing a threshold of the in-time-series-data priority so that the time-series-data is kept within the distributed throughput.

A data processing apparatus comprising:

• receiving means for receiving a data series including (1) time-series data including a plurality of frame data for audio or video, (2) an inter-time-series-data priority showing the priority of processing between respective time-series-data, and (3) a plurality of in-time-series-data priorities showing the processing priority between respective frame data included in the time-series-data, and (4) a frame type indicating respective frame data as I or P or B frame;
• and
• data processing means for distributing throughput to the time-series-data in accordance with the inter-time-series-data priority, and
• processing the frame data in the time-series data while adaptively changing a threshold of the in-time-series-data priority so that the time-series-data is kept within the distributed throughput.
