Abstract
A human oncogene and its expression products can be used as diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic tools for neoplastic disorders. Nucleotide sequences of the gene can also be used to identify a p34.3 region of a human chromosome 1.
Claims13
An isolated polypeptide consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2.
A fusion protein comprising a first protein segment and a second protein segment wherein said first and said second protein segments are fused together by means of a peptide bond and wherein said first protein segment comprises at least 8 contiguous amino acids of SEQ ID NO:2.
A fusion protein comprising a first protein segment and a second protein segment wherein said first and said second protein segments are fused together by means of a peptide bond and wherein said first protein segment consists at least 8 contiguous amino acids of SEQ ID NO:2.
An isolated polynucleotide comprising the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.
An isolated polynucleotide consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.
An expression construct comprising a promoter and a polynucleotide segment wherein said polynucleotide segment encodes a polypeptide of at least 14 contiguous amino acids selected from the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:2, wherein said polypeptide differs in length from the protein shown in SEQ ID NO:2, wherein said polynucleotide segment is located downstream from said promoter and wherein transcription of said polynucleotide segment initiates at said promoter.
