Abstract
The data carrying signals to be synthesized into an image, to be subject to data compression can be subjected to Fourier transformation by the formation of a Fourier factor WN which is a function of a trigonometric factor ΔC1 utilizing a factor II defined by the relationship: Δc1=cos x−1=−2 sin2 (x/2) where x=2π/N and N=number of data points.
Claims6
A method of analysis comprising the steps of:
- (a) acquiring data-carrying signals representing a condition to be analyzed;
- (b) subjecting said data-carrying signals to at least one conversion from one domain to at least one other domain by a Fourier transformation involving determination of a Fourier factor WN which is a function of a trigonometric factor ΔC1;
- and
- (c) calculating said Fourier factor WN using a Factor II defined by the relationship:
- ΔcC1=cos x−1=−2 sin2 (x/2)
- where x=2π/N and N=number of data points.
An apparatus for analysis comprising:
- means for acquiring data-carrying signals representing a condition to be analyzed;
- electronic evaluating means connected to said means for acquiring said data-carrying signals for subjecting said data-carrying signals to at least one conversion from one domain to at least one other domain by a Fourier transformation involving determination of a Fourier factor WN
- which is a function of a trigonometric factor ΔC1;
- and
- means for calculating said Fourier factor WN using a Factor II defined by the relationship:
- ΔcC1=cos x−1=−2 sin2 (x/2)
- where x=2π/N and N=number of data points.
A chip programmed for subjecting data-carrying signals to at least one conversion from one domain to at least one other domain by a Fourier transformation involving determination of a Fourier factor WN which is a function of a trigonometric factor ΔC1 using a Factor II defined by the relationship:
- ΔcC1=cos x−1=−2sin2 (x/2)
- where x=2π/N and N=number of data points.
