Amide compounds of the formula: wherein R1 and R2 are taken together to form lower alkenylene, etc., R3 is aryl, etc., X is N, etc., Y is a single bond, etc., and Q is and salt thereof, which are useful as medicament.

A compound of the formula:
- wherein R1 and R2 are taken together to form butenylene condensed with benzene,
- X is CH,
- Y is —NI—,
- R3 is phenyl substituted with halogen, and
- the indan ring to form by taking together R1, R2 and X is substituted by —Y—Q—R3 at the 2-position,
- or solvate or enclosure compound thereof.

A process for preparing a compound of the formula:
- wherein R1 and R2 are taken together to form butenylene condensed with benzene,
- X is CH,
- Y is —NH—,
- R3 is phenyl substituted with halogen, and
- the indan ring to form by taking together R1, R2 and X is substituted by —Y—Q—R3 at the 2-position, or a solvate or enclosure compound thereof,

- reacting a compound of the formula:
- or its salt with a compound of the formula:
- HO—Q—R3 [III]
- or its reactive derivative at the carboxy group or a salt thereof to provide a compound of the formula:
- wherein in the above formulas, R1, R2, R3 and Q are each as defined above.
