The invention provides isolated nucleic acid and amino acid sequences of HsKip3b, antibodies to HsKip3b, methods of screening for HsKip3b modulators using biologically active HsKip3b, and kits for screening for HsKip3b modulators.
Claims9
A kit for screening for modulators of a motor protein, comprising:
- a protein, wherein said protein comprises an amino acid sequence having greater than 90% amino acid sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:2 as measured using a sequence comparison algorithm, wherein said protein has microtubule stimulated ATPase activity;
- and
- instructions for testing for activity of said protein.
