Abstract
A primary package containing a low molecular weight peptide-based thrombin inhibitors which package is sealed with a rubber stopper or plunger containing bromobutyl rubber.

An improved method of administering an aqueous solution of a low molecular weight peptide-based thrombin inhibitor or a salt thereof in the treatment of a thrombin-related condition, wherein the improvement comprises containing and administering the solution from a primary package sealed with a stopper or plunger comprising bromobutyl rubber.
