Abstract
The invention relates to galenic formulations which contain a) one or more compounds selected from biotin, its physiologically compatible salts, biotin esters and the steroisomeric forms of these compounds; and b) one or more compounds selected from urea and urea derivatives. The above formulations are suitable for use as topically administered formulations for the cosmetic and/or medical treatment of the skin, hair and/or nails.
Claims16
A galenic formulation comprising:
- (a) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of biotin, a physiologically tolerable salt of biotin, a biotin ester, and the stereoisomeric forms of these compounds, and
- (b) urea or a urea derivative, wherein the proportion of the urea or the urea derivative is from 1 to 40% by weight based on the total galenic formulation.
A method for preparing a topically applicable galenic formulation comprising formulating
- (a) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of biotin, a physiologically tolerable salt of biotin, a biotin ester, and the stereoisomeric forms of these compounds, and
- (b) urea or a urea derivative, wherein the proportion of the urea or urea derivative is from 1 to 40% by weight based on the total galenic formulation.
A galenic formulation comprising:
- (a) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of biotin, a physiologically tolerable salt of biotin, a biotin ester, and the stereoisomeric forms of these compounds, and
- (b) urea or a compound which releases urea after cleavage, wherein the proportion of the urea or the compound which releases urea after cleavage is from 1 to 40% by weight based on the total galenic formulation.
