Abstract
The present invention provides isolated DNA molecules comprising a DNA segment encoding novel human Kunitz-type inhibitors. Also provided are DNA constructs comprising a first DNA segment encoding a novel human Kunitz-type inhibitor wherein said first DNA segment is operably linked to additional DNA segments required for the expression for the first DNA segment, host cells containing such DNA constructs, methods for producing proteins from the host cells, as well as antibodies directed towards same.
Claims31
A method of producing an antibody to a human Kunitz-type inhibitor comprising:
- inoculating an animal with a human Kunitz-type inhibitor consisting of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:15, wherein each Xaa is individually any amino acid except cysteine, and wherein the human Kunitz-type inhibitor elicits an immune response in the animal to produce the antibody;
- and
- isolating the antibody from the animal.
An antibody which specifically binds to a human Kunitz-type inhibitor as shown in SEQ ID NO:15, wherein each Xaa is individually any amino acid except cysteine.
An antibody fragment that binds with a human Kunitz-type inhibitor consisting of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:15, wherein each Xaa is individually any amino acid except cysteine.
An isolated antibody that specifically binds with a human Kunitz-type inhibitor consisting of amino acid residues 36 to 89 of SEQ ID NO:2.
An antibody fragment that binds with a human Kunitz-type inhibitor consisting of an amino acid sequence comprising amino acid residues 36 to 89 of SEQ ID NO:2.
