Abstract
A prefabricated wall and roof unit for easy and cost efficient home construction. The wall unit is formed of a steel frame, a molded external panel formed into the shape of traditional building materials and features, and a layer of insulation material. The wall unit may be assembled in a quality controlled off-site factory.
Claims4
A method of prefabricating a wall unit, comprising the steps of:
- preparing a mold of a predetermined building face;
- applying a first coat layer of predetermined material in said mold, said first coat layer adapted to form into a shape outlined by said mold;
- applying a laminate layer over said first coat layer;
- pressing said first coat layer and said laminate layer with a contoured lid portion to form a molded exterior panel;
- forming a vacuum to squeeze air out of the mold;
- removing said molded exterior panel from said mold;
- and
- adhesively attaching said molded exterior panel onto a frame support.
