Abstract
Methods to recover nitramines from energetic materials yielding useable by-products and producing zero waste. The methods are used on materials containing HMX and RDX.
Claims29
A method of recovering or reprocessing nitramines from energetic materials comprising the following steps:
- a) providing the energetic material comprising nitramines;
- b) solubilizing the material except for substantially all the nitramines in an acid solution;
- and
- c) removing an effluent from the solution to leave the nitramines.
