Abstract
An array substrate for a transflective liquid crystal display device includes a substrate having a display portion and a surrounding portion, a gate line on the substrate, a gate insulating layer covering the gate line, a data line on the gate insulating layer, a gate pad and a data pad within the surrounding portion, the gate pad connected to the gate line and the data pad connected to the data line, a switching device connected to the gate and data lines, a reflective electrode within the display portion and connected to the switching device, a reflective plate within the surrounding portion, a passivation layer on the reflective electrode and the reflective plate, and a transmissive electrode on the passivation layer and connected to the reflective electrode.
Claims10
An array substrate for a transflective liquid crystal display device, comprising:
- a substrate having a display portion and a surrounding portion;
- a gate line on the substrate;
- a gate insulating layer covering the gate line;
- a data line on the gate insulating layer;
- a gate pad and a data pad within the surrounding portion, the gate pad connected to the gate line and the data pad connected to the data line;
- a switching device connected to the gate and data lines;
- a reflective electrode within the display portion and connected to the switching device;
- a sealant within the surrounding portion;
- a reflective plate within the surrounding portion under the sealant;
- a passivation layer on the reflective electrode and the reflective plate;
- and
- a transmissive electrode on the passivation layer and connected to the reflective electrode.
