Abstract
Binders suitable for coating compositions, obtainable by reaction of one or more epoxy-functional binders with carboxyl-functional nanoparticles, and coating compositions containing them and the use thereof.
Claims8
A binder for a coating composition comprising at least one epoxy-functional binder reacted with carboxy-functional nanoparticles, wherein the nanoparticles are selected from the group consisting of single-phase inorganic nanoparticles modified with carboxyl groups and nanoparticles having a core/shell structure with an inorganic core.
