Abstract
The invention provides isolated Mre11 nucleic acids and their encoded proteins. The present invention provides methods and compositions relating to altering Mre11 levels in plants. The invention further provides recombinant expression cassettes, host cells, transgenic plants, and antibody compositions.
Claims11
An isolated polynucleotide comprising a polynucleotide selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) a nucleic acid sequence having at least 80% sequence identity to the SEQ ID NO:
- 1, wherein the % sequence identity is based on the entire region coding for SEQ ID NO:
- 2 and is calculated by the GAP algorithm under default parameters, wherein the sequence encodes a polypeptide with 3′ to 5′ exonuclease activity;
- and
- a nucleic acid sequence which is fully complementary to the nucleic acid sequence of (a).
An isolated polynucleotide comprising the polynucleotide of SEQ ID NO:
- 1, wherein the polynucleotide encodes a polypeptide having 3′ to 5′ exonuclease activity.
An isolated polynucleotide comprising at least 30 contiguous nucleotides of SEQ ID NO:
- 1.
An isolated polynucleotide which encodes the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 2, wherein the polypeptide has 3′ to 5′ exonuclease activity.
