Abstract
A β-primeverosidase gene characterized by encoding a protein containing the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 in the Sequence Listing or an amino acid sequence derived from this sequence by deletion, substitution, insertion or addition of one or more amino acids and utilization thereof.
Claims9
An isolated polynucleotide, wherein said polynucleotide encodes a polypeptide comprising amino acids 1 to 429 of SEQ ID NO:1.
An isolated polynucleotide wherein said polynucleotide encodes a polypeptide having β-primeverosidase activity, said activity catalyzing release of a disaccharide and an aglycan from a disaccharide glycoside, and wherein said polynucleotide has at least 90% sequence homology over the entire length to SEQ ID NO:2.
