Abstract
A method of processing a silver halide color photographic material comprises the steps of color-developing an image-wise exposed silver halide color photographic material and subjecting the developed material to desilvering in a processing bath having a fixing function and containing a thiosulfate compound and the following compound or analogue thereof in a molar ratio of 1/0.05 to 1/0.30. In this process, the fixing speed is extremely high even when the replenishing rate is low and the processed photosensitive material has an excellent resistance to fading by light.
Claims11
A method of processing a silver bromoiodide color photographic material which comprises the steps of color-developing an image-wise exposed silver bromoiodide color photographic material and subjecting the developed material to desilvering in a processing bath having a fixing function and containing a thiosulfate compound and a compound of the following general formula (I) in a molar ratio of 1/0.05 to 1/0.30:
- wherein R1, R2 and R3 each represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, with the proviso that at least one of R1, R2 and R3 is an alkyl group substituted with a water-soluble group selected from the group consisting of sulfonic acid group and carboxylic acid group, and that both R1 and R3 cannot be hydrogen atom at the same time and the total number of carbon atoms in R1, R2 and R3 is 2 to 6, wherein an amount of the compound of the formula (I) is about 0.05 to 0.3 mol/l and an amount of thiosulfate compound is 0.3 to 3 mol/l in an aqueous solution of the bath.

- wherein R1, R2 and R3 each represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, with the proviso that at least one of R1, R2 and R3 is an alkyl group substituted with a water-soluble group selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid group and a carboxylic acid group and that both R1 and R3 cannot be a hydrogen atom at the same time, and the total number of carbon atoms in R1, R2 and R3 2 to 6,
- wherein R represents a substituent of benzene ring, n represents an integer of 0 to 6, and M represents a hydrogen atom, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonium or amine, wherein an amount of the compound of formula (I) is about 0.05 to 0.3 mol/l and an amount of the compound of formula (II) is about 0.01 to 2 mol/l and an amount of thiosulfate compound is 0.3 to 3 mol/l in an aqueous solution of the bath.
