A protective plate for a plasma display, comprising:
- a conductive substrate for protecting the plasma display, the conductive substrate including a substrate comprising a glass plate made of strengthened glass, and a conductive film formed on the strengthened glass plate substrate;
- and
- an electrode in electrical contact with the conductive substrate.
