Abstract
A tie back liner for a well system.
Claims34
An apparatus, comprising:
- a wellbore that traverses a subterranean formation;
- a first wellbore casing positioned within and coupled to the wellbore;
- a second wellbore casing positioned within and coupled to the wellbore comprising an upper portion that is received within and overlaps with a lower portion of the first wellbore casing;
- and
- a tie-back liner positioned within and coupled to the first and second wellbore casings that overlaps with at least the lower end of the first wellbore casing and the upper end of the second wellbore casing comprising:
- a first tubular member that sealingly engages the upper end of the second wellbore casing;
- a second tubular member coupled to and extending upwardly from the first tubular member into the first wellbore casing;
- and
- a third tubular member coupled to and extending downwardly from the first tubular member into the second wellbore casing that defines one or more radial passages.
