Abstract
A fibrinolytically active metalloproteinase polypeptide (called “novel acting thrombolytic”) which is useful for blood clot lysis in vivo and methods and materials for its production by recombinant expression are described.
Claims14
An isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 1.
A method for the production of a metalloproteinase fibrinolytic agent, comprising culturing Pichia host cells containing a DNA molecule encoding NAT operatively linked to regulatory elements for stimulating the expression thereof under conditions such that the DNA molecule is expressed, and isolating the expressed metalloproteinase from the host cell culture.
