Abstract
The present invention relates to a novel protein having amidase activity that stereoselectively hydrolyzes α-amino acid amides and α-hydroxy acid amides, and a gene encoding said protein.
Claims30
An isolated protein comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2.
An isolated polynucleotide, which is capable of hybridizing to the complement of nucleotides 361 to 1305 of SEQ ID NO:
- 1 under stringent conditions, which comprise washing at 68° C. in 0.1×SSC, and which encodes a protein having amidase activity that stereoselectively hydrolyzes a tert-leucine amide and a lactate amide.
An isolated polynucleotide which is at least 90% homologous to nucleotides 361 to 1305 of SEQ ID NO:
- 1 and which encodes a protein having amidase activity that stereoselectively hydrolyzes a tert-leucine amid and a lactate amide.
