A process for preparing alcoholic solutions of alkali metal alkoxides. The process includes reacting an alkali metal with an alcohol in a microreactor wherein the microreactor provides laminer flow.

A process for preparing an alcoholic solution of an alkali metal alkoxide, which comprises reacting an alkali metal with an alcohol in a microreactor, wherein said microreactor provides laminar flow.
A process for preparing an alcoholic solution of an alkali metal alkoxide, which comprises reacting an alkali metal with an alcohol in a microreactor, wherein said alkali metal and said alcohol are fed to said microreactor in molten or liquid form and are continuously mixed with each other and reacted in said microreactor, and wherein said alkali metal and said alcohol pass through said microreactor in a continuous path with rounded corners.
