Abstract
The invention is in the field of Brassica juncea breeding, specifically relating to the development of stable herbicide tolerant Brassica juncea lines, plants and plant parts, having a mutant AHAS1. A method of producing stable herbicide tolerant Brassica juncea lines, plants and plant parts is also provided.

A Brassica juncea plant having tolerance to at least one AHAS-inhibitor herbicide and selected from the group consisting of:
- a line designated 98SJ-23841, representative seed of the line having been deposited under ATCC accession No. PTA-1406;
- a line designated 98SJ-23845, representative seed of the line having been deposited under ATCC accession No. PTA-1408;
- and, a line designated 98SJ-23844, representative seed of the line having been deposited under ATCC accession No. PTA-1407.
