A method for storing data in a solid state device, comprising the steps of (A) retrieving data from a source device, (B) storing said data in a compressed format to said solid state device and (C) accessing and uncompressing portions of said data from said solid state device, wherein said portions represent data to be executed in response to an address.
Claims20
A method for storing data in a solid state device, comprising the steps of:
- (A) retrieving data from a source device;
- (B) storing said data in a compressed format to said solid state device;
- and
- (C) accessing and uncompressing portions of said data from said solid state device, wherein said portions represent data to be executed in response to a physical sector address.
1 more element
A method for storing data having one or more physical sector addresses (PSAs) in a solid state device, comprising the steps of:
- (A) storing and compressing said data in an optimized format to said solid state device while maintaining said one or more PSAs;
- and
- (B) accessing and uncompressing one or more blocks of said data from said solid state device, wherein a particular portion of said one or more blocks of data are accessed and uncompressed in response to said one or more PSAs.
