Abstract
Apparatus and method for generating a print job from a device driver interface command stream (command stream) is described. - (b) using said marking data to identify a single set of commands in said command stream describing said document;
- and
- (d) using said single set of commands to generate said print job.
A document processing device for generating a print job from an undifferentiated command stream describing a plurality of copies of a document, comprising:
- (a) means for identifying marking data for a page represented in said command stream,
- (b) means for using said marking data to identify a single set of commands in said command stream, said single set of commands describing said document;
- and
- (c) means for using said single set of commands to generate said print job.
A computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions for performing steps to generate a print job from an undifferentiated command stream describing a plurality of copies of a document, said steps comprising:
- (a) identifying marking data for a page in said document,
- (b) using said marking data to identify a single set of commands in said command stream describing said document;
- and
- (c) using said single set of commands to generate said print job.
A document processing device, comprising:
- (a) print job receiver, said print job including print data describing a plurality of copies of a document;
- (b) means for identifying marking data for a page represented in said print data;
- (c) means for using said marking data to identify a first portion of said print data describing a single copy of said document.
