Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide an image forming apparatus that has image forming device for forming an image on a moving recording material, and a fan for taking in air from outside to cool the interior of the apparatus, wherein the fan is arranged so as to be inclined with respect to a moving direction of the recording material.

An image forming apparatus comprising:
- image forming means for forming an image on a moving recording material;
- and
- a fan for taking in air from outside to cool an interior of said apparatus,
- wherein a direction of a main air flow caused by said fan is inclined with respect to a side surface of a main body of the image forming apparatus, the side surface being parallel to a moving direction of the recording material.

- and
- a fan for taking in air from outside to cool an interior of said apparatus,
- wherein said fan is an axial-flow fan, and wherein an axis of said fan is inclined with respect to a side surface of a main body of the image forming apparatus, the side surface being parallel to a moving direction of the recording material.
