Abstract
The specification discloses a nucleic acid from Bacillus thuringiensis strain KB59A4-6 that encodes a novel pesticidal SUP toxin and plants and microbial cells transformed with the nucleic acid.
Claims12
An isolated polynucleotide that encodes a pesticidally active protein, wherein said protein has at least 95% identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:54.
A host cell comprising an isolated polynucleotide that encodes a pesticidally active protein, wherein said protein has at least 95% identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:54, and wherein said cell is selected from the group consisting of a plant cell and a microbial cell.
A transgenic plant comprising an isolated polynucleotide that encodes a pesticidally active protein, wherein said protein has at least 95% identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:54.
