Abstract
Compositions and kits comprising nitrofurantoin and uva ursi are effective for treating infectious disorders, particularly urinary tract infections, cystitis, and pyelonephritis.
Claims20
A method of treating an infectious disorder, the method comprising administering nitrofurantoin at least once daily for a period of at least 1 day and concurrently administering uva ursi at least once daily for a period of at least 1 day to a subject in need thereof.
A method of treating an infectious disorder comprising administering a kit, wherein the kit comprises:
- (a) nitrofurantoin in a unit dose form;
- (b) uva ursi in unit dose form;
- and (c) a package containing components (a) and (b).
