Abstract

This invention provides, as a means of securing magnetic shield properties for a semi-tension mask and precluding color irregularity or mislanding on the phosphor due to beam drift, a Fe—Ni alloy for semi-tension mask comprising, in mass percentage (%), from 34 to 45% Ni, from 0.01 to 0.5% Mn, and the balance Fe and unavoidable impurities, said alloy being such that a sheet obtained after final cold rolling has an α(111)+(220), said sum of the X-ray intensity ratio of (111) plane and (220) plane in the rolled surface represented by Formula 1 α ( 111 ) + ( 220 ) = I ( 111 ) + I ( 220 ) I ( 111 ) + I ( 200 ) + I ( 220 ) + I ( 311 ) × 100 ⁢ ⁢ ( % ) of no less than 15%.
