In the case of these cosmetics depictions, the cosmetics sampling method includes the steps of superimposing one of the cosmetics depictions over a corresponding consumer body part (e.g. superimposing a lip depiction over the consumer's lips), observing the superimposition in a mirror, and noting the reflected image of the reversed indicia corresponding to the cosmetics depiction thus superimposed for later reference in purchasing the cosmetic depicted. Where the cosmetic depicted is a fingernail polish depiction, the cosmetics sampling method includes the steps of superimposing a fingernail polish depiction over a consumer fingernail, observing the superimposition directly, and noting the indicia corresponding to the cosmetics depiction thus superimposed for later reference in purchasing the cosmetic depicted.
