Battery pack, method for charging/discharging counting and method for setting residual capacity of the battery pack

A battery pack, comprising:

• a voltage detector operable to detect a voltage of a battery cell;
• a storage device operable to store a plurality of correction coefficients for calculating a residual battery capacity for said battery cell at a plurality of pre-set temperatures;
• a temperature detector operable to detect a temperature of said battery cell;
• and
• a processor operable such that (i) if a correction coefficient associated with said temperature detected by said temperature detector is stored in said storage device, said processor uses said correction coefficient and said voltage to compute said residual battery capacity, and (ii) if said correction coefficient associated with said temperature detected by said temperature detector is not stored in said storage device, said processor uses stored correction coefficients associated with pre-set temperatures above and below said detected temperature to compute a correction coefficient associated with said detected temperature and computes said residual battery capacity based on said computed correction coefficient and said voltage detected by said voltage detector.
