Abstract
A compound of the formula XXV(H) wherein the substituents are defined as set forth in the specification which are useful intermediates for the production of derivatives of 2-(iminomethyl)-amino-phenyl having inhibitory activity on NO-synthase enzymes.

- wherein Q is oxygen or sulfur, A is selected from the group consisting of
- R1 and R2 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, —OH and alkyl and alkoxy of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R3 is selected from the groups consisting of hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms and —COR4, R4 is alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R5 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, —OH and alkyl and alkoxy of 1 to 6 carbon atoms.
