A refill comprising a pulverulent foodstuff that can be dispersed in a liquid medium to prepare a beverage or food, wherein the pulverulent foodstuff has been compacted into a solid form that occupies a smaller volume than the pulverulent foodstuff prior to compaction, and further wherein the compacted pulverulent foodstuff can be abraded to form a powdered granules, flakes, or chips;
A refill comprising a pulverulent foodstuff of a fruit containing composition that can be dispersed in a liquid medium, wherein the pulverulent foodstuff has been compacted into a solid form that occupies a smaller volume than the pulverulent foodstuff prior to compaction, and further wherein the compacted pulverulent foodstuff can be abraded to form a powdered granules, flakes, or chips.
A refill comprising a pulverulent foodstuff that can be dispersed in a liquid medium, wherein the pulverulent foodstuff has been compacted into a solid form that occupies a smaller volume than the pulverulent foodstuff prior to compaction, and further wherein the compacted pulverulent foodstuff can be abraded to form powdered granules, flakes, or chips while eliminating the production of fines which form in devices that use uncompacted or bulk powdered foodstuffs.
A refill consisting essentially of a pulverulent foodstuff that can be dispersed in a liquid medium, wherein the pulverulent foodstuff has been compacted into a solid form that occupies a smaller volume than the pulverulent foodstuff prior to compaction, and further wherein the compacted pulverulent foodstuff can be abraded to form powdered granules, flakes, or chips.
