Abstract
A power integrated circuit includes a gate driver coupled to an output transistor having a plurality of segments. The gate driver also has a plurality of segments, each of the segments of the driver circuit being located adjacent a corresponding one of the segments of the output transistor. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR 1.72(b).
Claims23
A power integrated circuit comprising:
- an output transistor having a plurality of segments;
- a gate driver coupled to the output transistor, the gate driver having a plurality of segments, each of the segments of the gate driver being located adjacent a corresponding one of the segments of the output transistor.
A power integrated circuit fabricated on a substrate, comprising:
- an output transistor having a gate and interdigitated source/drain regions arranged as a plurality of output segments;
- a gate driver coupled to the gate of the output transistor, the gate driver having a plurality of driver segments, each of the driver segments being located on the substrate adjacent a corresponding one of the output segments;
- and
- a logic circuit coupled to the gate driver.
A power integrated circuit comprising:
- an output transistor having a plurality of output segments;
- a gate driver coupled to the output transistor, the gate driver including a PMOS transistor and an NMOS transistor;
- a logic circuit coupled to the gate driver;
- wherein at least one of the PMOS and NMOS transistors includes driver segments, each of the driver segments being located adjacent a corresponding one of the output segments.
