Abstract
The present invention relates to a chemically modified polypeptide in which at least one of hydroxyl groups in the polypeptide molecule is modified with a polyalkylene glycol derivative; a method for producing the modified polypeptide; a method of treatment using the modified polypeptide; use of the modified polypeptide; a pharmaceutical preparation comprising the modified polypeptide; and a composition for treatment comprising the modified polypeptide.
Claims8
A chemically modified polypeptide having a granulocyte colony-stimulated factor activity in which the hydroxyl group of at least one serine residue is modified with a polyalkylene glycol derivative.
A method of improving resistance of a polypeptide having a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor activity to protease, freezing-thawing or denaturating agents, said method comprising modifying the hydroxyl group of at least one serine residue with a polyalicylene glycol derivative.
