Abstract
The present invention provides amino acid sequences of peptides that are encoded by genes within the human genome, the kinase peptides of the present invention. The present invention specifically provides isolated peptide and nucleic acid molecules, methods of identifying orthologs and paralogs of the kinase peptides, and methods of identifying modulators of the kinase peptides.
Claims23
An isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding a MAP kinase (MAPK)/extracellular-signal regulated kinase (ERK) kinase kinase (MEK kinase;
- MEKK), wherein the nucleic acid molecule consists of a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) a nucleotide sequence that encodes a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID) NO:2;
- (b) a nucleotide sequence consisting of SEQ ID NO:1;
- and
- (c) a nucleotide sequence consisting of SEQ ID NO:3.
An isolated polynucleotide consisting of the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1.
An isolated polynucleotide consisting of the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:3.
An isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding a MEK Kinase, wherein the nucleic acid molecule comprises a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) a nucleotide sequence that encodes SEQ ID NO:2;
- (b) SEQ ID NO:1;
- (c) nucleotides 379-3879 of SEQ ID NO:1;
- and
- (d) SEQ ID NO:3.
An isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding a MEK kinase, wherein the nucleic acid molecule consists of a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of
- (a) a nucleotide sequence that encodes an amino acid sequence having at least 99% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:2;
- (b) a nucleotide sequence having at least 99% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:1;
- and
- (c) a nucleotide sequence having at least 99% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:3.
