Abstract
A composite plate-shaped metal titanate having a composition expressed in MO.TiO2 (wherein M denotes a divalent metal) in which a surface of crystalline metal titanate is partially or entirely coated with amorphous and/or crystalline TiO2.

A composite plate-shaped metal titanate composed of a crystalline metal titanate having a composition MO.TiO2, wherein M denotes a divalent metal, and amorphous or crystalline TiO2 partially or entirely coating the surface of the crystalline metal titanate.
A composite plate-shaped metal titanate comprising:
- a core having a surface, said core comprised of a crystalline metal titanate having a composition MO.TiO2, wherein M denotes a divalent metal, and
- an amorphous or crystalline TiO2 partially or entirely coating the surface of the core.
