Abstract
Gelled hydrocarbon compositions are provided which include a low molecular weight triblock polymer and a medium molecular weight triblock polymer. These gels can be used to make clear candles.
Claims14
A gelled hydrocarbon composition suitable for use as a candle body, comprising a hydrocarbon oil and from 0.01 to 3 wt % of a fatty acid, the composition being gelled with a low molecular weight triblock polymer having a Mw or Mn from 20,000 to 82,000 and a medium molecular weight triblock polymer having a Mw or Mn from 82,000 to 150,000.
