Abstract
A color image forming apparatus for forming a color image on a storage medium using a laser beam generated from a laser generating means includes a plurality of image data interfaces provided between the color image forming apparatus and a peripheral device, image data interface conversion means for converting each of the image data interfaces into an image data interface for the laser generating means, and a single control means for controlling a drive timing of the laser generating means, the control means controlling the drive timing of the laser generating means for each one of a plurality of colors based on image data input from the image interface conversion means.

A color image forming apparatus for forming a color image on a storage medium using a laser beam generated from a laser generating means, the color image forming apparatus comprising:
- a plurality of image data interfaces provided between the color image forming apparatus and a peripheral device;
- a plurality of image data interface conversion means corresponding to the plurality of image data interfaces and each for converting image data from a respective one of the image data interfaces into laser image data for the laser generating means;
- and
- a single control means for controlling a drive timing of the laser generating means,
- the control means controlling the drive timing of the laser generating means for each one of a plurality of colors based on said laser image data input from one of the plurality of image interface conversion means.
A color image forming apparatus for forming a color image on a storage medium using a laser beam generated from a laser generating component, the color image forming apparatus comprising:
- a plurality of image data interfaces provided between the color image forming apparatus and a peripheral device;
- a plurality of image data interface conversion components corresponding to the plurality of image data interfaces and each configured to convert image data from a respective one of the image data interfaces into laser image data for the laser generating component, and a single control component that controls a drive timing of the laser generating component,
- the control component controlling the drive timing of the laser generating component for each one of a plurality of colors based on said laser image data input from one of the plurality of image interface conversion components.
