Abstract
A method of inducing the maturation of dendritic cells by stimulating immature dendritic cells with an imidazoquinoline type immune response modifying compound. Dendritic cells that have been matured in this manner display increased antigen presenting ability and may be used as immunotherapeutic agents.
Claims10
A method of in vitro maturation of immature dendritic cells comprising stimulating said immature dendritic cells with an immune response modifying compound wherein said compound contains an imidazoquinoline;
- imidazopyridine;
- 6,7 fused cycloalkylimidazopyridine;
- 1,2 bridged imidazoquinoline;
- imidazonaphthyridine;
- or imidazotetrahydronaphthyridine ring system.
A method of enhancing the antigen presenting ability of dendritic cells comprising stimulating said dendritic cells with an the immune response modifying compound wherein said compound contains an imidazoquinoline;
- imidazopyridine;
- 6,7 fused cycloalkylimidazopyridine;
- 1,2 bridged imidazoquinoline;
- imidazonaphthyridine;
- or imidazotetrahydronaphthyridine ring system.
