Abstract
The stability of a noble metal/titanium zeolite catalyst is improved by elevated temperature calcination with an oxygen containing gas; the catalyst is useful in epoxidation involving the reaction of olefin, oxygen and hydrogen.
Claims6
In a process for the preparation of a noble metal and titanium zeolite catalyst useful for the epoxidation of olefins, wherein the titanium zeolite catalyst contains no elements other than titanium, silicon and oxygen in the lattice framework, the improvement which comprises calcining the catalyst at temperatures above 150° C. in an oxygen containing atmosphere.
