Abstract
The present invention relates to a polypeptide of about 8 to about 100 amino acids containing at least about 8 contiguous amino acids selected from the core, and/or the E1, and/or E2, and/or the NS3 regions of the HCV polyprotein, with the contiguous amino acids containing a T-cell stimulating epitope.
Claims15
A composition comprising a poptide selected from the group consisting of at least 7 to less than 25 contiguous amino acids of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:58 and at least 44 to at most 104 contiguous amino acids of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:58;
- wherin said peptide contains a T cell stimulating epitope.
A composition comprising a peptide having the sequence of SEQ ID NO:67.
A method of treating a person infected with HCV comprising administering to a person in need of said treatment a composition comprising a peitide of at least 7 to at most 104 contiguous amino acids of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:58;
- said peptide containing a T cell-stimulating epitope.
A method of inducing T cell function comprising administering a composition comprising a peptide of at least 7 contiguous amino acids to at most 104 contiguous amino acids of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:58 in an amount sufficient to induce T cell activity.
A method of immunizing a person comprising administering to a person a composition comprising a peptide of at least 7 to at most 104 contiguous amino acids of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:58;
- said peptide containing a T cell stimulating epitope.
