Abstract
In a charging material preheater for preheating charging material (60) which is to be charged into a furnace vessel (3), having a shaft (9) which is fixed in a frame structure (20) and which in its upper region has a closeable feed opening (61) for the charging material (60) and a gas outlet and in its lower region a discharge opening for the charging material (60) and a gas inlet, and whose shaft walls (33, 35) delimit a receiving space (62) for the charging material (60) to be heated, the shaft walls (34,35) are subdivided into shaft wall portions which are individually replaceably fixed in the frame structure (20).
Claims20
A charging material preheater comprising:
- a frame structure, and
- a shaft disposed in the frame structure, the shaft having shaft walls that define a space for receiving charging material, at least one shaft wall being subdivided into shaft wall portions, at least one shaft wall portion being removeably and replaceably disposed in the frame structure.
A charging material preheater comprising:
- a frame structure, and
- a shaft disposed in the frame structure, the shaft having shaft walls that define a space for receiving charging material, at least one shaft wall being subdivided in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction defined by the shaft walls into at least two shaft wall portions being separately removeably and separately replaceably disposed in the frame structure, at least one shaft wall portion being comprised of steel, at least one shaft wall portion having a surface facing the interior of the shaft comprised of refractory material.
A charging material preheater comprising:
- a frame structure,
- a shaft disposed in the frame structure, the shaft having shaft walls that define a space for receiving charging material, and
- retaining members pivotally disposed in the frame structure for selectively inhibiting the passage of charging material through the shaft, the retaining members being disposed proximate to a first shaft wall and having ends projecting into the interior of the shaft, a second shaft wall facing the ends being subdivided into shaft wall portions, at least one shaft wall portion being removeably and replaceably disposed in the frame structure.
