Abstract
Isolated nucleic acid molecules are described, which have complements that hybridize to a nucleic acid molecule referred to as MAGE-2. The isolated nucleic acid molecules are expressed in some melanoma cells, as well as other types of cancer cells. The invention also relates to nucleic acid molecules which encode fragments of the proteins encoded by these nucleic acid molecules, and nucleic acid molecules which encode the ultimate product, the so-called tumor rejection antigens.

An isolated nucleic acid molecule which encodes a tumor rejection antigen precursor expressed in melanoma cells, wherein the complementary sequence of said isolated nucleic acid molecule hybridizes to the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
- 9 or SEQ ID NO:
- 10 at 0.1×SSC, 0.1% SDS for 30 minutes at 65° C.
An isolated nucleic acid molecule which encodes a fragment of a tumor rejection antigen precursor expressed in melanoma cells, wherein the complementary sequence of said isolated nucleic acid molecule hybridizes to the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
- 9 or SEQ ID NO:
- 10 at 0.1×SSC, 0.1% SDS for 30 minutes at 65° C.
An isolated nucleic acid molecule which encodes a tumor rejection antigen expressed in melanoma cells, wherein the complementary sequence of said isolated nucleic acid molecule hybridizes to the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
- 9 or SEQ ID NO:
- 10 at 0.1×SSC, 0.1% SDS for 30 minutes at 65° C.
