Claims15
A fluid pressurizing device comprising:
- a casing having an inlet, an outlet, and a plurality of walls defining a chamber between the inlet and the outlet;
- an impeller mounted in the chamber and adapted to rotate to flow fluid from the inlet, through the chamber, and to the outlet for discharge from the casing;
- and
- a plate mounted to one of the walls defining the chamber and having a plurality of through openings extending from one surface of the plate to the other;
- the one wall capping one end of the openings to form an array of resonators to attenuate the acoustic energy generated in the chamber.
